    Creative Writing for Social Change, a heart-opening and inspiring workshop where we’ll explore how sharing stories through creative writing can build empathy, foster understanding, and actually shift the world around us.

    With over 20 years of experience in intercultural dialogue, Andy Pring will walk us through how to transform personal experiences into stories that connect people — even across big divides.

    This hands-on workshop mixes creative writing, intercultural dialogue, and virtual exchange to boost your storytelling skills and global awareness.

    You'll learn how to:

    • Spot social issues that matter to you
    • Write stories that spark change
    • Use empathy as your storytelling superpower

    About Your Presenter: 

    Andy Pring is a dialogue facilitator and creative-writing specialist with over 20 years of experience fostering interfaith and intercultural understanding. After co-founding his university’s first Christian–Muslim dialogue group as a Theology undergraduate, he earned a Master’s in Islamic Studies and went on to spend eight years in counter-radicalisation work in London, partnering closely with the Somali community. Since 2019, Andy has volunteered as a virtual exchange facilitator with Soliya, supporting globally diverse dialogue. In 2024, he launched Creative Writing for Social Change, a program that combines dialogue and storytelling to explore issues like Islamophobia, patriarchy, climate change, and democracy, amplifying participants’ voices through digital platforms and alumni reading circles.

    CANCELLATION POLICY: All requests must be in writing and postmarked by October 9, 2025 to receive a full refund (less a $25 processing fee). No refunds will be granted after October 15, 2025 or for registrants who fail to attend the conference. A co-worker may attend in place of a registered attendee at no additional cost, via a submission in writing to conference headquarters postmarked October 15, 2025 and received by October 30, 2025.
