What Are Affinity Groups?
Affinity Groups within a non-profit association like SIETAR USA are intended to form around a shared interest or common goal. Affinity Groups are typically comprised of members who have a specific affinity or connection based on factors such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or shared experiences. Affinity Groups provide a dedicated space for individuals within the organization to connect with others who share similar backgrounds, experiences, and identities and foster a sense of belonging and community. Affinity Groups often support and advocate for the needs and interests of their members and work towards promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.Examples of Affinity Groups

Women's Affinity Group: Focused on supporting and advocating for the needs and interests of women within the non-profit. They may organize events, workshops, and networking opportunities specifically tailored to empower and uplift women.
