Mix and mingle and find treasures from around the world at the Silent Auction tables! SIETAR USA conference participants always enjoy finding unique and useful items at the annual Silent Auction so be sure to stop in!
The Silent Auction proceeds provide scholarships to the conference for interculturalists who might not otherwise be able to attend, such as students and employees or volunteers in community-based non-profit organizations. Attending the conference helps these individuals gain valuable knowledge, skills, and contacts in the field while contributing to their perspectives and experiences.
You can donate products, memberships, or services to the auction. Some ideas of items that are popular include a new (or used!) book, perhaps with an autograph, video, or training tool; arts and crafts you’ve collected while globetrotting; collection of world music; airline tickets, airline miles, or a timeshare getaway. Consultations, trainings, certifications or workshops are always welcome. Special mementos or theme baskets from your hometown, region, or country are often the first items to go.
To donate your items, please contact the Silent Auction Team (email below) ahead of time and pledge items(s) with the description, value and donor information for proper display. All items can be shipped in advance to Atlanta or brought with you to the conference if you are attending.
