The Vice President of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) reports to the President and serves as the university’s lead Diversity Officer and supports the mission of Pacific University. As a key member of the President’s Council, the VP of EDIA manages an institution-wide effort to support and further develop a diverse and inclusive community of students, faculty, and staff through policy development and programs that foster equity and inclusion in the broadest sense possible. This role includes providing strategic, operational, and organizational leadership that facilitates intercultural competence, the expansion and nurturance of diverse populations, and inclusive leadership across campuses. The VP of EDIA will advocate for equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility, address critical community issues, and develop strategies and shared institutional responsibility.

Seeks Associate Director of Student Advising & Counseling

The Associate Director of Student Advising and Counseling in International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) leads the student advising and counseling staff who provide student immigration advising, several engagement programs, crisis management, funding, academic and personal counseling, an international student and scholar tax program, and the issuance of initial and subsequent student documents. The Associate Director mentors and supports the professional development and success of the advising and counseling staff. The Associate Director is the Principal Designated School Official, providing leadership and consultation for staff, campus departments, and system campuses on complex international student matters. The Associate Director is a member of the ISSS leadership team and, with others on the leadership team, serves as the Director in absence of the Assistant Dean/Director of ISSS. 

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is a comprehensive unit that includes both student and scholar services as well as recruitment of international undergraduates, sponsored students, incoming exchanges, and student engagement and intercultural initiatives. We have a holistic approach to working with students, providing, for example, engagement opportunities, support for transition to the University, and academic and personal counseling.

Position Summary
Earthwatch is seeking an organized and adaptable Program Coordinator responsible for supporting in the creation and delivery of participatory science programs. Coordinators are responsible for preparing participants and coordinating logistics for programs as well as stewarding relationships with scientists and partners. These programs range from 1-day domestic events up to 2-week expeditions in various countries around the world.

The successful candidate will possess exemplary customer service, task management and communication skills. The role requires creativity and flexibility in a dynamic environment. They will work closely with a team of Program Managers, Coordinators, and international programmatic partners to deliver on the Earthwatch mission.
