Style Switching for Success with Multicultural Groups

As interculturalists, our goal is to help our clients and students cultivate sufficient awareness and sensitivity to effectively navigate the unpredictable route to create successful interactions across cultural borders.  Yet how often do we get caught in a rut by not practicing what we preach? It’s important to be mindful of our need to also adapt ourselves to the cultural nuances to create transformational change for our diverse clients. Given that many theories and practices are rooted in Western thought, interculturalists often need to stretch themselves to engage culturally-diverse groups in ways that will appropriately address their differing needs and expectations.

Join us for this interactive webinar during which Julia will present anecdotal stories as well as practical tips and skills learned from over three decades of working and training across cultures to remind intercultural practitioners of the need to walk the talk in their work to overcome a “one size fits all” approach to training and teaching widely diverse audiences.

Registration = FREE for current SIETAR USA members in good standing
