From Helsinki to St. Petersburg

After the end of the Second World War, Europe, and the world in general, have been divided rigidly, building physical and mental “walls” into between East and West. Many years have been passed away since that time, and from 1989, together with a globalization process, many borders started to fall, allowing for more and more free movement of people, goods and ideas. But East and West division and many walls still exist even today.

Join us for this special SIETAR Russia and SIETAR Europa event which aims to open discussions on how to heal the wounds between Russia and the West. We aim to do so by accomplishing mainly two goals: 1) Bringing international relations into the intercultural field; 2) Bringing discussions from the intercultural space into the field of international relations.
