Call for Nominations

With our annual Call for Nominations, it is time for you to consider serving on the SIETAR USA Board of Directors. It is an opportunity to give back, to provide guidance for our association, and to have an interesting and rewarding professional experience.

When our founder and first president decided to take on the role of executive director, she realized that the association needed to elect a new president. While talking with a candidate about serving as president, this person said she would like to serve but didn’t have much time in her schedule and felt it wasn’t the right time for her to run. To which the response was that “it is never the right time.” What that meant was that with our busy careers and personal lives, it is difficult to consider adding one more thing, but it can be done. People have been stepping up for years and that is what has made SIETAR USA survive and thrive. We need many diverse voices on the Board to create an agenda that works for all of us.  And it means that SIETAR USA is in good hands for the near future.

"I look forward to working with all Board members," stated President-Elect Sandra Fowler. "My term in office begins as 2019 begins, as it will for people new to the Board. I hope to be working with new friends and old and want to make the experience one of the best you’ve ever had. Take a look at the Call and consider what you might do to support our association."
