IMI's 10th Anniversary Conference-"Milestones in Intercultural Relations: A Forum for Business, Education and Training Professionals" will take place March 12-13, 2009 (with pre-conference workshops on the 11th). The IMI conference brings together a niche group of about 250 of the top U.S. and international intercultural trainers, negotiators and educators. Like you, conference participants come from across the educational, governmental, corporate and nonprofit sectors all with an interest in intercultural and cross-cultural education, negotiation and training. The sessions, workshops, plenary sessions and luncheons provide varied, hands-on experiences in the areas of intercultural training, experiential learning, international exchange, negotiation, cross-cultural business practices and relocation. This year's keynote speakers include Carol Bellamy President & CEO of World Learning and President of SIT, Neil Kerwin, President , American University, and Michael Paige, Associate Professor, Comparative International Development Education Program, Department of Educational Policy and Administration,University of Minnesota.
